I was visiting my Arvest bank in a mall and there was a customer who was filling out a Loan Application. He didn't know where to take it, and I was trying to help him. The bank employee took the loan application but didn't really know what to do with it. Meanwhile, I'm trying to do my own banking stuff, you know, because that's not my job. I used to be a loan officer back in the 90s, but not anymore. The bank employee asked me, "What should i do with this?" "Should I approve it?" And I said, well, has the employment been verified, and she goes yeah, I think it has. I said how much is he wanting? And she said $15000 for 3 years. It was for a home equity line of credit and I said well, it sounds good you know, but I don't work here and so then I left the bank that was in the mall and I got home and later I remembered that I forgot to tell her to pull his credit report to see if he even had good credit.
Dreams often reflect our subconscious thoughts, feelings, and experiences. In this dream, several themes emerge that could hold significance for your personal life or emotions.
Role Confusion and Responsibility: You found yourself in a position where you were trying to help a bank customer with a loan application, despite not being in a loan officer role anymore. This may symbolize feelings of being pulled into situations where you feel responsible for helping others, even when it's outside your current role or comfort zone.
Concern for Others: Your willingness to assist the customer, despite not working in that capacity anymore, suggests a nurturing instinct or a desire to ensure others receive the help they need. This may point to a general concern you have for the well-being of those around you, or even a feeling of empathy towards others' financial struggles.
Regret and Incompleteness: The feeling of forgetting to instruct the bank employee to pull the customer's credit report could symbolize concerns about leaving tasks unfinished in your waking life. This might manifest as anxiety about not being thorough enough in your efforts or worrying that important details are overlooked.
Connection to the Past: The fact that you were once a loan officer signifies a connection to your past experiences, skills, or identity. It may indicate a sense of nostalgia or feelings about how you have changed professionally or personally since that time.
Navigating Change: The setting in a mall where you are also trying to do your own banking reflects the idea of navigating personal or financial changes in your life. The mall, a place of commerce and exchange, could suggest that you are at a crossroads, assessing both your needs and the needs of others.
Overall, this dream highlights themes of responsibility, care for others, and the desire for thoroughness in your actions, potentially reflecting real-life situations where you are balancing your own tasks with a desire to help others. It could indicate a need to reconcile your past experiences with your current role and how you manage responsibilities moving forward.
